When a raw material shipment is received, the ERP can automatically place the inventory into a "Quarantine" status, preventing it from being issued to production. The system then generates a sampling request in LIMS, guiding the laboratory team through the exact testing protocol required for that specific material. Once the identity testing is complete and the raw data is uploaded, the LIMS can automatically compare the results against the Master Ingredient Dossier specifications and, if compliant, release the material for production use in the ERP, creating a seamless, electronic audit trail.
